When is it time to go?

Hi Everyone!

When did you know it was time to leave your company?

Iโ€™ve been with this company right out of college and have been here for 7 years, worked my way up from an SMB SDR to Enterprise AE. I have a great reputation here which makes me think I should stay for higher roles (management etc).

Not sure if I am going through the motions or if I feel bored/ want a change.

It's time to go when you start thinking it's time to go, and day over day your thoughts are reaffirmed.

TBH you are in a pretty cushy spot for a sales rep. I'd kill to be in your position. That being said, maybe take a look around and compare it to what you have right now. Sometimes you don't know what you got until you look around!

If youโ€™re making good money and have a great reputation, why leave?

Usually I leave with a commission change where Iโ€™ll be making significantly less or for a better opportunity elsewhere.

When you have to think of new reasons each day you dont want to walk through those doors, or stay up each night thinking/sweating about what's coming tomorrow (in a bad way)...probably a sign.ย
