Where do you find leads?

Hey guys,
I want to make sure I'm maximizing my outreach efforts and I need some guidance.

I'm cold calling Smb's and entrepreneurs to sell my web development services.

Currently using Google to find most of my leads, thought I could use Facebook and Instagram as well.

I want to know if I'm missing something.
How would you do it?

Find a way to get on an affiliate arrangement with an established SMB provider in the space. You throw back $500 a site, your leads will be endless. See credit suite com. They build business credit for the same ICP.

Wow! I never thought of this. I just watched Alex Hormozi’s “Advice for hard days 1/0” and he mentioned something like that, it went right over my head. You, sir, have opened my eyes. Thank you so much.

I find my leads via Sales Navigator. I'm selling to F500 cybersecurity.

I’d say 60% of the people I sell to don’t have a LinkedIn page. I tried the Sales Navigator for a month, it’s heck of a tool. A must. Thanks for your answer man.

Options are endless but you have to know who your audience is. You mentioned google so I assume you are calling the number on the web but are you finding it successful?

So while using Google, I’m able to get to a few business owners but not much. I figured my ICP would respond to the call themselves as they haven’t reached the level where they can hire a secretary or a need for one. Thus, I was thinking about using FB and IG to find my leads, since most entrepreneurs run their own social media. Thoughts?

Bruh… never. You guys are the best thing I think have come out the internet. Sorry I sound like a cliche, but honestly bruv, my heart pumps sales. I love the content, I did it myself in real life too. I can claim $2M in evaluations for my last account (which btw was like 3 years ago, another one of my side business). I don’t know how I lost my swag guys. Maybe one of you guys know?

LinkedIn, for what you’re doing cold calling is great, but I think it’d prob better to focus on marketing on Facebook and Instagram to get deal flow coming in.

According Alex Hormozi, that takes time nah? I’d say 6 to 12 months to get any traction.

Would you agree if I can bust 200 dials, i can bypass the social media approach?

Perhaps, while, simultaneously, building up my soch. Honestly, I don’t wanna be overwhelmed. All the replies, the calls, etc… isn’t there a better way to handle all this for a 1 man team ? Can you share some tips bruvs

I would focus on both, get a marketing agency to do your marketing for you, cold call business owners, 200 dials won’t be enough. Maybe hire an assistant

Referrals! They’re the easiest and quickest win. However it takes having a really good client, read “no more cold calling” book if numbers is what you want then Dunn & Bradstreet license is good

Every industry is different and really depends on your ICP. I would take some time to really think about where your audience is. Where are they at? Where might they be asking questions? Where can you find the leads that have warmed and qualified themselves before you even get to them. Facebook groups? LinkedIn? Figure this out and build a strategy around it.

Couple recommendations:

“Web Dev” is broad. If you aren’t already, I’d suggest specializing a bit, perhaps by platform (if I was starting a dev side hustle, I’d probably dive into Shopify).

Then, “Hormozi” your offer into something that’s a combination of consulting, strategy, and service. SMBs usually don’t just need dev services — they need someone who can TELL them what they need (UX, Conversion Rate Optimization, Apps / Plugins for specific solutions).

My recommendation would be to browse Etsy, find moderately successful stores, visit their profiles and find their actual website (towards the bottom).

If their website looks like hot garbage, then find their contact form and reach out there with tangible, actionable advice, along with an invitation to chat about your services.

If you can tell at a glance that they AREN’T using Shopify, then you can pitch them Shopify and tell them you can migrate their store into the platform to reflect their Etsy setup.

If they ARE using Shopify, you can make specific comments and recommendations based on your experience in the platform.

If they DON’T have a website at all and are only operating on Etsy, you could pitch them the merits of diversifying into Shopify, and you could pitch them your services.

These are just some ideas that came to mind. Hope they’re helpful.
