Who Would You Rather Work For - And WHY? ZOOMINFO or HUBSPOT? More Deets Below

Zoominfo - Mid Market AE role.

Hubspot -- SMB AE role.

I am using the assumption that most people on this forum know the two companies, or can at least quickly understand what they do, v me explaining who they are and what they do.

But I could be wrong?

Honestly, neither.

Hubspot is a hire fast, fire faster org. Miss your rolling 90 by 10%? PIP. Just quit at that point.

Zoominfo is ran by a dingbat who has no business being a public CEO. Their sales teams could be beat by a used car sales lot crew, and itโ€™s one of the lowest quality portfolios in the business.

As a buyer, I've tried to buy from ZI... it was actually impossible. They had multiple ppl reach out to me and tell me conflicting info about capabilities.
On the other hand, buying from Hubspot was an amazing experience.

This is a good point. Also, the recruiter told me around 60% of people were making their numbers on the first call. I did not even ask about this info when it came to Hubspot.

I think both are a good opportunities.

I prefer working with larger business segments but I think thereโ€™s more white space for Hubspot than Zoominfo but I base that on absolutely nothing.

Personally, Iโ€™d probably go Zoominfo but I wouldnโ€™t necessarily say that itโ€™s the clear winner.

Shit I do so much work for ZI by constantly correcting their info. Those AE jobs should be a breeze ๐Ÿ’…

So I think either way, either job would be a potential grind. Hubspot seems more dealing with current free users and outbound, ZI is all day outbound all day baby.

ZI is ran by an idiot. So I do expect toxic culture. Hubspot needs to keep making their CRM more diverse, but they are still back-door dealing with SF on things. So it's tough. However, there are a ton of people to learn from in Hub that have crushed it and done really well.

Tough either way.

Mid market is a better title than SMB though......

I believe they differ based on the company's size and some other factors.
Just located you a nice sheet that gets you some cool differences between the two that may help you to know why and when to use each!

The post is asking about working for either company, not buying or using the tools.

Crops are dried up.

GD got a nice comparison also between the two in terms of working for which one! https://www.glassdoor.com/Compare/ZoomInfo-vs-HubSpot-EI_IE22253-E227605.htm

I am assuming the Hubspot one will be more of an inbound for SMB?

Assuming you are making more as a mid-market than SMB? Honestly, I think they are both fine options, comp/benefits/personality of hiring manager would really sway decisions for me

Comp is basically the same. But HUB is shining more brightly with their low as ZI's high.

Did you get details on comp yet?

Yeah, comp basically the same, but ZI seems like they would want to be on the lower end. So Hub would pay better for sure.

I think Hubspot because from what I have heard they have good discovery and good processes and lot to learn and they have a lot of leading sales funnel etc. advice

Yeah, this is what I think.
Just learned they offer a 10 month ramp period, with an additional month of hands on learning and on-boarding.
They aren't expecting greatness day 1.They want you to be able to succeed.
Zoominfo keeps bullshitting about working from home and their CEO wants people in the office 3 days/week.
Pretty sure fully remote workers will be getting "sourced" out soon enough.

Hubspot, ZI has been on a fast downhill slope to my understanding and more ankle biters coming in to disrupt them.

Quite likely.
I felt like I learned more in my first Hubspot interview than anywhere else already too.
Like damn.

I would not go to either, but run run run from ZI.
The people I know at Hubspot speak highly of the people and leadership, just crowded territories in an insane space.

I have never heard a single good thing about selling at ZI.

Which way do you use ZoomInfo for importing prospects?
