CRM's that are better tha Hubspot and Salesforce?

I'm a sales guy who now runs my own business. I log great notes and rely on keep good information but I hate how overly complicated CRM's are.

I used Salesforce for ten years so I know it well. I've been using Hubspot since I started my business a few months ago but they both feel like more than what I need, and neither is particularly user friendly.

Can anyone recommend a more basic CRM where I can easily track deal progress and email opens without it being a huge pain in my ass?

I like the white crayon on white paper. Makes me feel alive!

Have you tried unplugging and restarting the crayon? You have to melt the whole box together first.

If you feel that HubSpot is "too much" then you clearly weren't scarred enough by SalesForce.

I don't have recommendations but I have used Sugar, Keap and Zoho in the past, they are good for sole ownership business I would say. You can explore more.

Depends on how many things you're balancing at any given time. Hubspot is pretty straight forward, so if that's not an option, I vote giant whiteboard (or buy some whiteboard paint for the wall). Keep it stupid simple, keeping track of opportunities and next steps.

If it’s just you or even a few employees, Pipedrive is supreme. Most integration issues are solved by Zapier with minimal effort. I scaled my business (Was one person, then went to four) using it and never had any issues.

What if your company doesn't use a CRM? What tools/templates are out there to help an IC organize and keep track of all activities w prospects as well as existing business?

That's a good question! I have my hands busy enough with inbound work and hiring that I don't *need* a CRM right now because I'm fine on cash.

I have not been updating Hubspot at all because I take a lot of notes in my notebook and my followup language is super automated.

Think I'm gonna just keep doing this until I need a CRM, and then I'll let their salespeople fight over who can best serve my needs.

No idea. I wish we could use a different CRM, though.

Pipedrive is super intuitive but not overly scalable.

We ran into issues at about the 150-200 employee mark at a previous start-up.

I'll check it out. Right now it's just me. I'm about to hire my first employee and doubt this will ever be a 150 person operation.

Streamlined and user friendly for 1-10 people would be great. I'll switch to Salesforce or something when I get bigger than that.

Close is my favourite. Super user friendly. I'm using Hubspot now and it is so not intuitive compared with Close.
