TLDR: me venting about shitty dude who ruined what could have been a fun find after a 20m phone safari on already trying day.

Doing some outreach today, like everyday: I just got off the phone...I called for a prospect who had responded positively (better to say didn't negatively respond). I got the receptionist who informed me, this person is at another branch. I inquired if the branches make shipping/logistics decisions. She was nice enough to find out that there is a centralized division that handles it. She connected me to the next leg in the race.

I then spoke to someone who heard me out and said, "Oh Yeah, Jim XXx is who you want, he handles all of that. I'll give you his name and connect you." I'm thinking hell yes, this 15 minute phone expedition may actually get me somewhere. Jim X connects, I give my name and my elevator. He stops me and goes full alcoholic detective- "How'd you get to me? Who gave you my number? What branch did you call? Give me names" he became irate and vibrated his jowls before giving me the hard click all while before being able to answer simply with a yay or nay if he handles anything but his own shit stall logistics each day. Who cares how I got your number, I called, you answered give me 15 seconds of legitimate person to person talking and we can both get on with it.

Today kind of sucks, was all up in internal process meetings in the morning and a bunch of shit leads from marketing in the afternoon.
