BDR sources ops/Hand-off Calls

Curious to hear from the sellers out there taking meetings from BDR sourced opportunities.

How do you prefer to handle that first interaction?

Call the prospect directly or UFC/Intro from BDR?

Good topic: I think it's important to put yourselves in the shoes of the prospect who's just reached out and think about the best experience you can give them. From there set very easy but strict guidelines and frameworks for your BDR in terms of how to set these up. It'll probably be different for inbound v outbound meetings set. The last thing you want to do it re-ask questions the bdr already has ect.

I usually join the meeting the BDR sets up and he briefly intro's me and then I just run the meeting and they take notes. Better trained more experienced bdr's slowly learn how to better qualify but it's a gamble so I just try to put as much on my plate as I can if it's fairly good leads.

I find when people are typing on a call to be incredibly distracting, personally. Even if I know they're taking notes on the call it throws me off.

I feel this. I think about how writing notes makes me a little more present...more like I am listening to understand as opposed to listening to take notes and understand later.....
