Best Advice on finding remote sales job as a Canadian

I am looking for advice on how to find a remote sales or AE position as a Canadian. it seems the opportunities are far more scarce here than in the USA and relocated unfortunately isn't really an option right now. I have 17 years experience in Sales Account management and leadership across a vast variety of industries.

As well I have ran my own companies for the past ten years filling multiple roles, and been many companies ideal avatars, so know what the end client is looking for as well as have the ability to onboard and support the clients in the initial phase.

I've also spent the past ten years and currently am still sitting in active boards from charities, professional executive groups, community and provincial sports associations, and First Nations counsels.

I am at a stand still in finding a company and position looking for High Ticket remote closers, or Account Success Managers.

any and all advice is welcome.

How have you been searching thus far? I'm Canadian, and my current and last roles are/were full remote.

I was recruited into one, but the last I literally just hit up LinkedIn and job boards and filtered to remote. There are absolutely companies out there. You may need to get creative and go after hiring managers etc. to make yourself stand out, but there's a ton of opportunity in this country.

I will say that now is not the best time though.

And, as always, work your network and get referrals wherever you can. It sounds like you've got a lot of contacts - leverage them.

I’m Canadian too, and there’s definitely a market out there. Will most likely rise once Q1 hits too! If you’re really having troubles finding it, try filtering out by US Remote as a lot of those roles are actually open to Canadians as well. Happy hunting.

Canadian here as well the market is really tough at the moment Jefe laid out most of your options but I'd also add network with recruiters as there are more than a few sales recruitment agencies at least in Ontario best of luck with the search!
