Positive self talk. Too often we doubt ourselves and let that become the norm. For me, it’s time to flip the script and be my own cheerleader

This. And actually use your PTO throughout the year.

This is something I’m focusing on as a personal goal for this year. At times I can be pretty negative for my own self talk and that likely bogs me down longer than needed

I quit drinking 6 months ago. My brain is so much clearer and I’m able to stay positive much easier. Best thing I’ve ever done for myself.

Congrats! I agree, as I’ve gotten older, the risk reward for alcohol continues to skew further towards risk.

I’ve started doing the math on what a deal will get me paid per hour of time it’ll take to close it. And subsequently have started saying no to small deals/high maintenance prospects who won’t get me paid enough.

Champagne problem for sure, but it’s made a massive difference in my closed/won pipeline and my SE is much happier.

This is actually a really smart move. Everyone should know their numbers!

Here are 3 that have paid off(when i do them)
1. Regular therapy (at least biweekly)
2. Go for a walk every morning (even if it’s on the treadmill)
3. Stop working at the same time every day and make a list of things that you need to do the next day to hit the ground running

For the love of all gods, please keep a check on what you are giving your most mental bandwidth to. It could be work, or a relationship, or a person, or a pet, or your insecurities or your strengths or Instagram or any other social media, or my emails, or zoom meetings that have no purpose!

My mantra for 2023 is going to be to keep a continuous tab on what I give the most bandwidth to, and to see if it really helps me in my life or not. If it is not, it is out!

I am proud of 2022, but to be really honest - I could have done way more in 2022 than I did. Why didn't I? Because I gave mental bandwidth to things that didn't help me grow (or anyone else grow) and I lost time!!!! It's frustrating, but lessons were learnt!

Go read Atomic Habits. Or listen to the podcast Dr Peter Atilia did with the author.

Don’t establish habits, rather establish Systems. I won’t go into it here, but it’s really solid and very worth reading if you’re serious about implementing some new things in your life.

If I work out in the morning before work I am so much more energized and eager to start the day!
Also in sales not getting discouraged. Ups and downs are normal. Process, process, process… it is just a numbers game.

It’s so easy to burn yourself out. You need to pace yourself and take care of yourself because your employer won’t. They will likely cheer you in as you work yourself into an early grave.

I'm gpoing to focus on consistency. THat was the big issue the last few years.

The way I'll do this is by cutting up my goals in smaller targets

Yeah, I am forcing myself to wake up early(5:30), do some prayer/meditation, and workout at least 4-5x per week. So far, so good.

Reading has been a big thing for me that’s helped a lot in the past year. And having those be books outside of just sales as well helps me stay fresh
