Best Pre-Call Routines?

Read somewhere that creating a "pre-call" routine can help with success, especially before big closing calls.


Anyone have any routines they'd recommend?

I've had people at prior jobs listen to the Wolf of Wall Street - I think that sends a wrong message because let's be real, we aren't about to be multimillionaires wearing $10,000 watches.ย 

I take a minute to think about what I would like to do with that money (pay off a chunk of student loans, maybe upgrade my apartment someday, maybe retire prior to turning 80) then I go over notes and what I know of the client and what solutions I would like to pitch. This way I'm ready for a curveball so going into the call I know a) what it means to me and my family and b) I know plans A-F.
