End of Quarter 2Jobs update

Hey guys...

Things are getting tougher on the 2nd job front but im coping.

Managed to seal my 1st deal and prove that I can bring in new business from new accounts.

Good news from Job 1 is that the newly appointed sales ops guys started to post a leaderboard. Guesss one I top 2/3 of the rankings. I feel i built a solid process to keep me up there if not try to maximize the comission checks.

Things are working out but J2 is full of shitty shit accounts that getting a deal from 1 is a lot difficult. It also seems that I got the difficult accounts that are on the brink of churning. So imagine the new business that i have to bring in order to balance out the possibility of the churning event.

Anyways, here to help. Hopefully the show will go on.

On the personal front...wife is being supportive...for some reason she disagrees about the ethics...so i think that should be a nice debate in here.

P.S. im an IC for both roles not your typical "fulltime" guy.

At least you finally told your wife. And the ethics are just that part of the expectation for a FT job with salary is that you are performing tasks related to the job you’re being paid to do during business hours, not being also paid to do another FT job with the same expectations. Now, in sales, there is some latitude as well as some flexibility in hours, but there is definitely overlap.

That said, hoping for the best for you.

Truth hurts...but yea im more honestly charged on the outcomes not the number of hours to be honest. Im taking my boss's words here.. you can do your job in 4 hours a day if you give the 4 hours 100% and honestly its what i started doing. 4 pure hours for J1 and 4 pure hours for J2 and it seems it just how my brain operates at a high level. I must put myself Under time constraints.

There is too much of a risk for 2 sales jobs even close to the same industry. Side hustle that is different industry and not full time - do it.

Not in the same industry. Two different industries...very very different.
Also the roles are different 1 account executive. The other account management. Doable because im only expected to bring churned business or growing two businesses.
