Favorite CRM? (for startups)

What CRM is actually easy to use, makes life better and can be picked up quickly by new sales people? For reference, this is a small to mid size business with multiple different product lines/sales teams. Something that integrates reporting for accounting depts. I'm partial to Pipedrive but want to know if someone has something better.

HubSpot is the best CRM for smaller sales orgs. Ease of use, widen integration set, cost of ownership, support, etc, all come our ahead of their competitors.

Salesforce requires a team to manage and run it. Most startups cannot handle the platform due to the technical and operations scope required to run it properly. That, and adoption by new sales would or those with little SFDC experience will leave you with a lag.

I’d go with HubSpot, and negotiate hard for the first contract. Why? They retain discounting on all products and new add-ons based on your first contract. If you want more details hit me up.

Honestly, the simplicity of HubSpot does it for me. It's feasible to set it up on one's own.

Salesforce can do it all, but at my current org it's such a mess to navigate that it becomes rather pointless.

The debt of running the tool (SFDC) is far more costly in the end.

Agreed. Only a few times in my career has it been efficiently set up.

I've mainly used SFDC so it's mainly a comfort thing for me.

Love it, but it’s overkill for a small company getting started. And there’s a lot of cost, time, and effort getting it up and running.

Apollo & Hubspot work pretty well for us.

Always been with salesforce. I'm also too stupid to know how to utilize it fully.

SFDC is not meant for first timers and will take considerable development and resources to build and then maintain. Hubspot is likely your best bet.

Fucking pipedrive. God I hated that thing. How much cheaper is it? Cuz that dogshit cannot be justified even if it was $1 a month.

HubSpot is the way to go, and they have sweet deals for startups/smbs.

Man, that's interesting. I have actually really liked it, but that said, the other CRM's I've had to use were terrible. In comparison Pipedrive is a Ferrari...seems like I need to make the switch.

Hubspot is the easiest to use. The most dynamic would be Salesforce plus other plugins.

I'm definitely an outlier here because we use Pipedrive and I actually like it. It does everything I need it to do & not a thing more lol we are switching to Salesforce soon though

That’s my experience too. Pipedrive is simple and gets the job done. Definitely limited compared to others…but not sure I really need all the bells and whistles yet.

Only ever used SF but doesn't seem like it would be super feasible for smaller orgs

I like HubSpot as they have pretty good plans for small and growing companies, but then they get a bit expensive once you scale.

I've also used Pipedrive at every bootstrapped company I've worked at and it was pretty solid.

As you mentioned small org, Huspot it simple, straight forward and effective.

I don't see SF being considered for a small start up. Its too complex and just plain expensive. Even more a medium sized business it might be overkill. Hubspot has a lot of capabilities tailor made for a start up.

I’d ignore this email…

Be direct and ask for what you want from them and what they expressed interest in doing.

Don’t dance. Go for the kill.
