10000000% ^IMHOdo this, search for "VP of XYZ region" find, connect, cold call, email, yell motivational quotes at yourself do whatever you need to do. Get the meeting with them, sell yourself and you can bypass HR / initial recruiting screen and get to the DM right away.

It will most likely go into a their recruiting platform. It can allow the recruiters to search through resumes with key words.

It wont hurt to do a generally application, but wont have the same success rate
