My question is as the title reads. I’ve been contributing as a senior level AE, over quota, helping new hires, etc. I’m shooting for Team Lead which is like a go between of AE and manager but feel I should at least have the Senior title.
Management has said I’m wasting time going for the senior title but it seems that it would at least make me more marketable outside of the business.
Any thoughts on if I am wasting time? Or is it important to fight for small title bumps that do come with pay/equity bumps as well?
