How to handle a call that was not qualified by SDRs and they are aggressive?

Today a totally unhinged "prospect" jumped on a call.

It seems its the SDRs fault because they never qualified and gave me the impression that they are ready to buy. That it that.

However, the "prospect" was aggressive and more interested on how SDR got their email and number. 3 minutes insisting that his details should be private and we shouldn't access it.

Also because company policy is to email in english by default but the guy spoke arabic so I started the call in arabic no problem but he was you sent email in english you must speak to me in english (1st thing on my mind was to say kosomak)

How you handle answering that getting the info question? I honestly had no idea what SDR team uses so I just said amplemarket.

Turns out. He's so stupid and angry he exposed his number to us when SDR emailed him by reached out to him over WhatsApp. Didn't want to confront him about it because maybe he had a very bad day.

I think you did the right thing. Just let the guy vent then get off the phone. Find out what SDR's are doing and bring it to the attention of their manager so they can make adjustments and coach the dumbass who sent that over.

That's all you can really do. Let him wear himself out and detach from it, then on to the next one.

Not sure there’s anything to do here regarding handling the call. Sometimes people are upset.

Regarding the qualification issue - that’s to be taken up with the SDR and the manager of that team.

As an SDR I have had situations like this where the prospect just lied to me and when he got on a call countered a lot of what he told me and I put it into notes. Also, EVERYONE's phone number is so easy to find today via Apollo or Zoominfo that if they have it posted anywhere its no longer private.

Move on. This is wasted energy to worry about. "We use a tool called X to find contact information" that's all I say when someone cries.

It’s okay some prospects are like that and some thank for reaching out to them as well.
I would just them there are many tools available and move on

Anybody who asks how you got their contact information is living under a rock… As such they won’t know what software is let alone be buying it.

Most times when people come out in that manner they are up set at other things, you did the right thing, let things cool down and then follow up in his english.

Sounds like a dud prospect. Close it out and forget about it. Not worth your energy

"why'd you accept the invite" "This is a business, and my job, youre wasting my time with these stupid questions, google it." Hang up. "Stop calling me at work" "I dont have time for this."
turn it on him as if he was cold calling you

Just receive the feedback. Check with your SDR and don't push anything

Leads are being misrouted, and i'm doing work which other SDRs end up getting comped for, how to discuss this with my manager?

Do your BDR's create the opportunity, or do AE's create/accept it after it's qualified?
