Prediction: Salesloft/Outreach will become obsolete in 2+ years

Come at me with different ideas and contrary opinions, just my two cents. Outreach and SL were built on email automation first, then added in automatic dialing.

Automated outbound emails are completely useless now. I used to see some engagement when I began using sales engagement tools 4 years ago (even then it was low), but now response rates are well below .1% for me. Best bet is multiple personalized emails, but that takes way longer than finding the prospects number and getting a hold of them live.

I predict that the tech stack of the future SDR will include some sort of linkedin automation tool (if we are gonna do automated messaging, linkedin is the best, there's no spam filter, and response rates are higher), on top of a power dialer (nooks/orum), and maybe some new tool that specializes in personalized outreach to prospects.

Only value I'm seeing from my SE tool today is click rates. And I used to live in this tool years ago. Anyone else thinking the same will happen?

If you use Gong they have already started replacing Outreach for many through the engage portion.

Agree with your predictions. Outbound emails have been so overdone that almost nobody replies to them anymore and many hit spam filters or donโ€™t really get to the recipient. Orum is cool but a lot of the calls being made from that trigger phones to show โ€˜spam callโ€™ or โ€˜potential scamโ€™ because you are using a dialer.
Not many people answer phones anymore. Companies are telling employees to respond to sales inquiries because they are cutting budgets firing people to save money. People are just getting too overwhelmed and itโ€™s too much for them making it ineffective for the most part.
Customization and personalization get overlooked as most just get viewed as either an AI email or just another mass email being sent out. Outbound has been rough the last 1.5 yrs. I bet LinkedIn will put some blocked or spam filter sooner than later.

I don't disagree with anything you've said. But honestly, how the hell are we supposed to talk to people.

@SportsSalesGuy @poweredbycaffeine what are tools you think are hot/up & coming?

@medhardwaredr I'm thinking auto-dialers like orum/nooks, in combination with an intent tool like 6sense are going to be replacing the standard toolstack

My last company had 6sense and I thought it was a crock of shit. They couldn't really tell us the secret sauce about why a certain prospect / company was scoring high. Maybe you'll have better luck.

Auto dialers donโ€™t work. They burn ppl out. And the automated phone calls. Nobody wants to talk to a robot. 6sense works decently but still gotta do your due diligence and research on the people in the intent. And make the messaging relevant but simple and short.

The more sales tools that come out Iโ€™ve noticed the more the cyberwalls get built higher and stronger for us to have an even harder time to contact people.

And with remote work. Good luck getting someone to pickup the phone. They certainly wonโ€™t pickup a weird number from an auto dialer with burnt out guy whoโ€™s 100 no connects in a row that day and even worse if thereโ€™s a robot on the end of the line.

Iโ€™m here for this hot take, and I agree it seems like every day the automated sequences just have worse results

Email infrastructure tools are on the rise right now like mailforge.
Automated domain creation and email creation.
Want to send 1k emails per day, auto creates 20 domains, and 15 emails for your company, keeps your main domain safe and uses burner domains.
People are just sending at scale these days, using AI to overcome spam filters too as emails get spun via AI.
