Quota attainment at series A companies

Hello!


Coming from a series A startup where no rep hit more than 25% quota last year.


Wondering if this is common or I was in a unique scenario.


Looking at another series A startup and am wondering what all I should check during the interview process.

From what I've heard yeah. Or I know few people who consistently do 500% or 200% etc with their patches... So if it's balanced out on whole team then maybe

That doesn't sound normal, but as others have said Series A is too unpredictable. Bad PMF, bad management, could be any number of reasons contributing to that low attainment.

Your best bet is to avoid a Series A. Dangerous place to be in this market.

Trying to do that but not many are biting with my experience of running my own SMB, head of sales at seed stage and a not very successful series A stint.
SMB AE at established companies with repvue>80 is the target

Top line read? You built, established, enhanced and led. Sweet- ever sell anything? The resume reads to me like an entry level sales manager with little selling experience. It doesnโ€™t read โ€œI SELL SHIT! Lots of it!โ€

โ€œClosed, sold, exceeded, earned, grew from x to yโ€ would be more fitting. Itโ€™s very polite and extremely proper. Iโ€™m not telling you to lie- but maybe embellish a little? Throw some attitude.

And probably hid the set 10-month tenure revenue record in the second line.

hitting quota is rare right now, that said there should be reps at least getting to 70-80% of target. the company probably has to re-evaluate their sales targets

Series A companies are a hard one. Either you are knocking it out if the park or struggling to hit quota. I have seen it numerous times, so you just have to see the product and see where it is deployed before jumping in.
