SaaS Company Ability vs Your Ability

I got my validated swing in an Enterprise role because I've killed it in every other area (SMB, MM, partial Ent previously). My company has restructured 5 times in under a year & I've survived all of them.

That said, I did OG SaaS (GoDaddy) and other SaaS-like items prior to this. This company was 2 seconds from the drain when I joined & get job app rejections despite getting major companies through the Sales process across industries, (that my company lost because of their mismanagement & insane Professional Services fees).

I've now closed businesses of name value (or in process) that this AI company has rarely seen in their history. I'm frustrated because I get rejected because of my lack of recent longevity in SaaS, so much that I don't want to flex my abilities to bring big companies here to burn my name. I'm looking to jump to somewhere decent - all suggestions/advice are welcome. Thanks in advance.

It’s interesting how people Believe past success will equate to future success. That said if you are able to pull in the big company names with your current company, I would not hesitate much. The reason is that it will help you put those names on your résumé which is valuable, regardless of the outcome of things with your current company.

Newsflash: AI is SaaS. Well, if it actually is AI. If it’s another self-created white-labeled API’d untrained motherless bastard version of ChatGPT with a different skin, using 3.5 because 4.0’s tokens are too expensive, I don’t blame you for not wanting to sell it.

Otherwise, if it’s something with real ML that does predictive instead of descriptive analytics, why would you leave the crystal ball company?
