Thanks for the tag @CuriousFox

Regarding the post, there's a lot of unanswered questions but the biggest for me is to know who you'll be expected to outreach to. Are you going to be trying to get hospital and health system leaders on the hook for a meeting or will you be focusing lower down the line? Those top dawgs in healthcare are hard to nail down so the pay should reflect that.

Is there any more background you can share about your target settings, roles, etc.? Also, what is the average contract value of your services?

what specific questions do you have? why do you think the industry will make a difference on how you negotiate?

Yes , healthcare is better compensated/benefits than transport, not to mention in transport company I am freelancer. This my 2 cents

idk if that makes a difference on HOW you negotiate but here is how i have done this.

1. know your number you WANT and the number you will accept. And be OK with walking away if they dont hit the number.
2. Let the recruiter know the number you WANT from the start so there are no surprises at the end (although there normally will be)
3. The best negotiation tool is to have ANOTHER offer
4. DO NOT ask if the offer is negotiable. just assume it is.
5. If they give you a verbal offer make sure you are appreciative and ask them to send everything over via email for you to review.
6. As an SDR you may not have a ton of leverage to work with so make sure you ask is realistic. I would make it sound like this.

" I really appreciate the offer to work at XYZ I think this is a great offer and I am very excited. Like I mentioned from the start I am looking to have my base pay be at X. From my research of the industry average and with my skill level I believe this is a fair number. If you can meet that number I would be ready to sign the offer letter. If not I will have to consider my other options more closely. Please let me know if you are able to meet that number. Thank you!:"

Look at the salary average in the industry and then negotiate based on your experience
