SDR End of Q2 round up- What can we improve to ensure our success in Q3

Hey WarRoom Gang,

It's JUNE 30th!! End of the Quarter and I hope all of you savages are pulling in the numbers and helping our AEs get more meetings!

From my end, one of the things I need to improve is keeping my eye on the prize, BOOK THE FUCKING MEETING, and keeping it simple! I was too worried about other stages of the sales process and I am not the one that handles the discovery stage. SO DO WHAT YOU CAN CONTROL, and let the rest take care of itself. That's number one for me.

Secondly, stop losing focus and smile and dial. That's it. Don't let the perks of working from home get to you and lose focus at crucial times of day and days that I feel like slacking off.

What's something you all are going to be doing to up y 'all's game?

i love working from home. But i know for a fact that if I was working from home when I was a SDR i would have failed miserably. Good for you for being able to do that.ย

It does take a good deal of discipline to be able to work from home.ย  I sympathize with those who are just starting out, and have to learn how to manage this.

Yeaa that'd be tough.

I find being surrounded by other people doing the same actually helps when you have to pound the phones.

Pitching/negotiating/closing? I like a bit more solitude.

I have some colleagues in the same city and thinking of renting some office space like wework or something that makes us feel like we're rowing towards the same goal.

I'd beg to differ here a bit. Yes, your end goal is meetings. But no sales org. would be ok with 40 meetings converting into 0 deals. The end goal is right, but being myopic might not be the best way. Keep an eye on the opps, pipe and deal conversion too. my 2 cents

I'm only speaking for myself here. I tend to overthink things so taking a conversation one step at a time towards a meeting is my ultimate goal for this week and the next, and until I have that nailed down maybe start thinking of the next step in the process. Right now we need numbers, even if 50% of them are Dqued, that's good.

I'm going in guns blazing for July ~ doing more of some repoire building, bringing more value to my convos and getting info. I gotta make it fun cause although wfh is great - sitting in front of the computer screen gets boring.

You're 100% correct, but I think during a 5 t 7 min conversation we can tell if the person we're speaking to has any decision power and not waste time on further booking a meeting. That's when our skills have to come into place, you know?
