SDR Org - Different pay's per segment?

Hey all - Curious if the SDR's at your org's are paid differently depending on the market segment they work in, as well if their base goes up if they receive a Senior title promotion?

If so, what does the pay look like?!

What's your goal here? Wondering what SDRs make in general? Want to get a pay raise? Context here is important.

My SDR org for the most part wasn't broken up into segments. We now have Mid-Enterprise Reps, Enterprise and Principal Account Reps.
I was "promoted" into Principal accounts and received a Senior Title promotion. Principal accounts is what the c-suite has determined as the companies top accounts, anywhere from 10B-365B in annual revenue.
My salary with the new target accounts and senior title promotions is only $1k more in base and $1K more in variable than colleagues.
So just trying to get an idea if other orgs pay differently per segment and senior titles? cuz $2,000 on both ends seems pretty low for two promotions lol

What you're telling me here is that your company divided up the SDR pool in order to pretend there is a progression of title/responsibility. They are probably telling you there is an AE job at the end of the SDR tunnel and you have to move through the SDR progression to earn it. BS. They are just making stuff up in order to keep you there and in your place as a SDR for as long as they can.

So it costs them $1-2k more per year to not have to train a new person up. Bargain!

Agree with everything you said! Definitely going to be on the job hunt. At least the two promotions will look good on the resume for it. They also took away our 2% kicker, including deals I already sourced lol

That does seem low for a promotion. I’ve never been a part of an org that does this but just showing you’ve been promoted twice on a resume is HUGE. Don’t underestimate the value of that. Congrats on this!

Our PE want to sell us as a med company that way we get a higher multiplier on the sale so our med reps get a higher OTE in general. Inside sales is more about tenure not vertical/industry.
Sr titles do get a higher ote.
Pays comparable to saas I believe

What’s the best companies to reach out to for SDR / BDR roles for a career changer looking for solid base comp and decent OTE (financial advisor made 120k last year 3 years hit quota every year cold calling running the sales process so I think I have relevant AE skills but I get taking a step down since I have no SAAS sales skills. (However I have 1.5 years of IT recruiting experience where I also crushed quota and learned a bit about IT broadly) Thanks
