Selling to CyberSecurity persona vs Salespeople

I have to choose between selling to cybersecurity people and salespeople. I know nothing about selling to either. Will I regret choosing salespeople over cyber people? If it makes any difference, I prefer cold calling over Linkedin and email.

Salespeople are lay downs. Just get through and punch. No question in my mind. CISOs are the worst.

In my experience salespeople seem pretty easy to deal with most of the time, and they have a lot of empathy when you call them

I have bought all kinds of things I didn't need because the pitch was good. If you've got that part, the path is clear.

Sounds like you're already leaning one direction. Assuming all else is equal.

I just bought some hot sauce at a farmers market because of the hustle of the guy trying to move it. Sauce isn’t even that good.

You`ll be selling to your own kind :) What`s your background though, what have you sold before, and for how long? Asking because if you have some experience selling other stuff, you already have something to talk about with salespeople when you`re selling to them.

I have close to 2 years experience. I dont want to go into detail on that question, but keeping it simple, a few different things but nothing that ever involved either of these personas

If you sell a good brand, cyber can be a gold mine. However, the buyer persona is the worst for cold outreach. They are paranoid as it is. I had to explain people what the video said that I sent them because they wouldn’t click links.

I feel like sales people are suckers for buying from people that try hard to get their business.

I feel like it’s a very sustainable industry as well, cyber security will always be important and something people will have to spend some money on.
