What are good metric based goals for an SDR?

Obviously I want to become an Account Executive. Yes I want to book as meetings humanely possible.

I like to think I'm making as many outbound touches as I can through Phone, eMail, and LI.

But what are some other metric based goals I should be striving for?

Great list. It's all about pipeline and revenue at the end - all metrics should lead to that, frankly.

Could also add meetings booked, but this is a solid list.

Do you not have metrics in place that measure your success?

At my startup? Not really. We look at calls, emails, meetings.

Dude. What?

Calls
Emails
Connects
Meetings booked

All leading indicators

Meetings delivered
Opp conversion rate (or stage)
Attributed closed business

Those are metrics that you should be measured on. You can plan a business on them.

We finally looked at connect rate and looked at all of those metrics you mentioned.

We're small but yeah, kinda nuts it took a year.

One metric often overlooked due to simplicity is prospects added to sequences. This is only relevant if your are sourcing your own accounts to target.

Being consistent with this will pay off dividends down the road. Figure out a weekly or daily number that you can stay on top of and make that a โ€œmust haveโ€ personal metric.

The only metric which matters for SDRs - # of meetings set. That's it. That's their job - to set meetings. Nothing else is within your control or area of responsibility. Set the meetings, ask good questions which set up the AE to close, and you'll be seen very favorably.

Regarding your email outreach, could also be good to measure open rates & click through rates. If you're seeing that your emails aren't being opened, it could be a good opportunity to test out different subject lines

Focus on honing your technique and make it part of your weekly scorecard. Role plays, training, reading. Practice, practice, practice. It's a numbers game for sure but you need to be at your best when that prospect actually picks up the phone.
