A lot of folks take off over the holidays, but those that don't are usually more available than ever (no meetings, no constant interruptions, etc.). Keep grinding. The holidays can be a great time to get prospects' attention...whether it's to finally review the terms of your proposal and close the deal, or to schedule that long-awaited demo to move a deal forward in the pipeline.

Pitch the idea of having a current discounted Sale on your product just because of the holidays and it would expire once it's Over!!

EOY discounts. It’s cheesy, but it can work.

If it’s not on track to close before EoY, don’t worry about. Focus on your Q1.

To get meetings during Holiday season, we use something like this

"I can appreciate that holidays are coming.

Would it be bad idea to explore how XYZ can be solved?

After the meeting, if you don't find it useful, we would not waste your time in new year"

Keep grinding. Push back when people say we need to push this to Q1. Tell them there's always going to be internal conflicts but from what you've told me you would like to get x solution implemented during Q1 which means we need a signed contract now to start the onboarding process.

I've always used Q4 as a staging ground to come out of the new year sprinting. There are way too many people taking time off and those that are working are occupied with EOY/NY planning for any fruitful discussions to happen.

Discounts? Pray someone is working, like you? Just hit that call button hoping nobody blocks you? Send more emails though - they would still be kind on emails.

For existing deals: Maintain contact by engaging in discount related conversations, sending gifs etc.

First, I always make sure to prioritize maintaining contact with my existing clients during the holiday season. This means sending them personalized holiday greetings and checking in with them to see if they have any upcoming projects or needs.
Next, I focus on identifying potential new clients who may have budget or project timeline flexibility during the holidays. This could include companies in industries with peak seasons during the holidays or those who have upcoming projects in the new year.
I also make sure to emphasize the value and timeliness of our offerings during this season. For example, if we have a limited time holiday promotion or can provide a quick turnaround on projects, I make sure to highlight that in my pitch.
Additionally, I always make sure to be flexible with my availability during the holidays. This means offering extended hours or virtual meetings to accommodate my clients' busy schedules.
Finally, I make sure to follow up promptly on any leads or inquiries and use a sense of urgency in my closing tactics. The holiday season can be a busy time for potential clients, so I want to make sure to secure their business before they move on to other priorities.
