How many meetings do you need to close a deal? (average)

Out of the meetings set, how many are qualified opportunities? And how many qualified opportunities does it take you on average to close a deal? (average)


I want to have a realistic ballpark I should aim for here.

man man its such a broad question - its really depends upon the product, who you're selling- SMB, MM, Ent, Inbound/Outbound, Product Sale cycle etc etc.

As @Diablo says it really depends. However, I find that a good rule of thumb is that 30% of meetings end in your pipeline and out of those you should be closing about 30% percent as well.

Note all you gotta do is divide your quota by the average deal size to know how many deals you need. Then you apply those percentages to know how many ops you need and how many meetings you need to make your number.

Echoing @Diablohere, but yeah. It really depends. My product and who I sell to usually requires anywhere from 2-4 meetings. Any more and it's usually because it's a massive account with too many stakeholders.
