Workday Sales --

Hey y'all,

Really tired of the early stage startup grind and shit leaders.

Have some short stints (Natures of the types of companies I like unfortunately) but want to demonstrate ability to learn and think long term for an organization.

I'm working on the Workday training course as a way to demonstrate that or potentially get an SE job with them but curious if it's actually worth it or if anyone else has done it.

Any insights?

Thanks y'all!

You can apply through workday for their course and if you complete the basics in a certain amount of time you unlock the full training which if you complete will also qualify you to be a Workday Architect/Deployment consultant

Do you actually want a job implementing/deploying Workday? Maybe finish the course, look for jobs with SIs/consulting firms that specialize in Workday deployment.

Not necessarily, would more like to be an SE but don't have a degree, so thought potentially having the technical certs on their product would give me a leg up, or even being an AE for them and having decent product knowledge right out of the gate

Are you going to go through this process for every company you'd like to work at, or is this a focus for you? It seems like a lot of work unless you really want to work there. I'm intrigued.

Actually I am too. I know a lot of folks that complain about Workday. Especially job hunters.

I’ve always been intrigued by workday, and it’s capabilities, the product has an insane stronghold on the market, and ultimately (if I could go the SE route) leverage that for my career.

Not a ton of companies have offerings like this or I would likely pick a few and complete them specifically.

Oops no, but just wondering if you have any experience at any similar training courses on WD before, just to see how it sounds, as I might be interested!

Work for a big company and sell something that people actually need. I recommend reading Build by Tony Fadell.
