Advice for a new Vertical Sales Manager?

I was recently promoted from an SDR to a mid-market Vertical Sales Manager at my startup. I will be working alongside the Sr Mgr to build out our vertical which is growing rapidly. I am early in my career (3 years post-grad and almost 1 year in sales). What advice would you give me as I start this new journey?

Congratulations! I know you have plans of what you would like to see happen in the next 12 months. Write it out to present. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Get a game plan on the next 12-18 months, then backtrack to see what you need to do on a daily/weekly basis

They call me Daddy, Sales Daddy
Learn what questions to ask and then ask them.
Sit in on any and all training you can, even if you sat through it before.
Talk to professionals in your vertical and learn all you can about it. True professionals can spot BS a mile away and you'll never sell them - and they will tell their friends to not buy from you.
Find a mentor within the vertical.
