First step is take a look in the mirror, take some deep breaths, and put a lot of thought into whether you should post

so i think it CAN help.

I think about the largest deal (at the time) that i closed, i had GREAT rapport with the main POC.

when there was a huge issue with the paperwork I was able to get time on his calendar super quick and be really blunt and upfront and smooth everything out.

if we hadnt had the solid back and forth in the past i think this would have been much harder.

The hard part is when you try to force it.
I always try to just be nice, easy to talk to, and see if ppl will engage with me. if they do then i keep going a bit, if not. i drop it.

What do you mean by best way? Rapport definitely adds more value - strong relationship, high response rate, some org intel, deal closing, referrals etc etc.
