Career Pivot - Sales Ops to Sales (hunter/farmer)

How do I successfully land a 6 figure sales job with a sales operations resume? I can more than do the job, I have the skills, experience and aptitude and will not take no for an answer.. However, I'm getting many NO's on my applications!

How do you know you can do the job?

OK, so I do know an ops person who moved into AE, but it was at the same company, and that company has a tradition of enabling transfers into other roles, even profoundly different ones.

So is there an opportunity for you to move into sales at your current company?

It takes time to land such job. The key is how to show them how you'd done it in the past. Showcase your expertise on your resume with figures, percentages, numbers. Show them, don't tell them. I wish you much luck!

Can you work your network? Hiring managers won't be too excited without any closing experience.
