Wouldn't ever. Couldn't ever. Same reason a flunked out of code school. I can't sit still and analyze shit all day. Just not wired that way.

no kidding man. I'm an ENT AE now actually, and want to pivot to something more operational/analytical. I think it's a better career long term in terms of stability, but you're right, the drop in income sucks.

I’d say use your network and look internally, I thought abt doing the same, showing imitative helps too like becoming certified in SFDC and the other tech you use. I interviewed at one company for sales enablement and they basically said I have the sales experience but lack the technical skills and that they were looking for someone who was a team lead or manager or someone who was very skilled with their tech stack

You don't see many going from Rev OPs to a AE role - mostly the reverse because they can't handle the sales quota/performance requirements.

My friend had. I would suggest if you are addicted to money and love the money you make as an IC : You will be disappointed in the revops role. Not for the weak.
If you are really passionate about coaching/ enabling others, you might as well like it. But otherwise : Weigh down heavy on the pros and cons and then decide.
