LinkedIn advice?

Hi all,

Maybe you remember (probably not), last year i asked if anyone of you savages is attending an HR conference in Dubai.. Well, it`s the same conference and I`m attending again. This time, it`s beginning of march.

This gives me a month and a half to go nuts on LinkedIn and try to book as many meetings as possible.

If you were me, how would you do this? How would you raise awareness with your connections that you`ll be there, and willing to meet? (I`ve 20k connections, and 10k+ of those are in the region and industry this events takes place in)

Bit of context: this is a one day event attended by 300-400 HR/HRIS, mostly senior management. We`ll have a booth with a screen where we can do a quick demo, answer questions etc. I`m not worried about foot traffic there, but I want to maximize this lead time of month and a half and post something daily on LinkedIn, I`m just lost for inspiration really (haven`t posted anything in a few months.. ).

Any ideas, themes, that will keep me posting daily are welcome!

Howdy - I would simply advertise that you're attending and say it everyday. Talk about what you're excited for this year based on previous years. Look up who is speaking and if any of the topics spark interest for you or resonate with your company's mission then share it and hype up that speaker. Make polls about questions you have for your clients or audience that can spark conversation - then have those convos in person at the conference (if they're attending). If you haven't posted in a while, it might take a little bit for your posts to get visibility or make 'impressions' but keep at it.

Thanks! You gave me a few good ideas here too! I was just caught up in Q4 drama and abandoned LinkedIn altogether, will have to get back to it for sure :)

I'd combine this with what @poweredbycaffeine suggested, if you can leverage your marketing department and allow them to be useful for once.

Right before the event (1-2 days) and during - text will be your friend. Was able to book 10 meetings in a day for SHRM (another HR event) bc people are super receptive to text when on-site.

I’d create, or have my marketing team create, a landing page with a booking tool embedded on it. Set up 15-30 minute appointment windows and offer something small for attending. Not cheesy, but maybe a coffee or tea. Post once a week about the show and tag the companies you want to meet with. Include the link to the landing page and have someone photoshop a nice thumbnail for you.

Do you have an attendee list? Even one from last year? Do you have last years list of people who came by your booth? That’s how I would do my outreach.

On top of using LinkedIn, do you get access to an app at the event? Can you get any information about people going to the event? Or buy the list?

Asking so you can focus only on this list, and get more replies/booked meetings.

Actually, I might be attending this one. Let's meet up while wearing masks to keep the anonymity.

Also we are worried too, we have no idea what to expect and Linkedin wasn't all that helpful to drive traffic unless people are going there anyways. But that's up to marketing to drive that content you can repost. If you have stories then perfect. If I were you I'd have a hit list in mind and start reaching out to them with case studies ready.
I'm from the region, so I have more of luck to meet up with people from the region. Outside of that it's just inbound. Also try going to the event happening in Qatar, everyone is stocked about this one more.
