Prospecting

How many people here do their own prospecting? If you do B2B sales, what databases are you using to find contacts for your target companies?

I currently use Zoom Info which I know can be good but I need something else.

As funcoupons pointed out this has been asked but I find salesnav is super useful and attending webinars about the problem your solution solves is another way to leverage LinkedIn to find prospects

Thank you!! Yes, I do have a sales navigator license. I'm trying to get people on the phone. It's a metric we are measured off of in our job performance. Lately, it's been almost impossible to connect.

That seems like an unfair metric to measure you on since you are at the mercy of the prospect. That being said, I've found calling mobile numbers helps with my connection rate.

Why do you need something beyond ZoomInfo? That's far and away the best.

about 30% of the contacts I've pulled out lately have been bad numbers. Also, not sure if you are using it for emails or phone numbers but we have a huge push for phone calls. I'm getting almost no answers. Maybe 3-4 out of 80

Unfortunately, I don't think there is anything better. I used it for numbers and emails. Connect rates are down significantly since the pandemic.

I used Seamless.ai for a while and that was exponentially worse so I'd advise staying away from that.

Zoominfo is the best! That and Sales Navigator is all you really need.

I use zoom info , linkedin.  I also think "best" lists are an interesting way to find new companies.  Depending upon what you sell you can solve a pain point that their speedy growth has created.

yes, also INC's lists can be interesting.  It depends on the industry I am targeting.

I don't use that right now so that's a great idea. I am in IT staffing and recruiting so we don't have a tangible product. It's a little different from software, etc. from what I understand.

I do my own and have a team prospect for me. Always good to eat your own dog food IMHO.

Based on what I read in the comments it sounds like your best route is to create a paper trail and show your boss how horrible this marketing manager is at his job.
