"Purposeful" Misspellings?

I've been reading some studies and reports that say that email cadences will get better traction and responses if you purposefully put misspellings in them.

I loathe this. I hate when people misspell things and personally think it looks super unprofessional.

Has anyone tried this and found success?

Would love to hear from multiple titles too- SDR, Management, Receiver of Email Cadences?

Hate it. I am super anal (lolz) about spelling and grammar, I can't be tarnishing my rep like that. If ppl fear me because I have a better grasp of the English language than them they can f u c k o f f

I can't take anyone seriously who sends me emails with bad grammar and spelling.  I just can't.   If you can't put together a coherent message, then you might just be an idiot.

It's ridiculous, IMO.   Humanizing an email might just mean being a better writer, not showing that you make misteaks.

I'm cringing at my post AND your reply.

And also laughing.  It's so freaking ridiculous.

My CEO swears by this. He's successfully started and sold 3 different companies in the 8 and 9 figure range so I'm inclined to think he knows what he's doing.

I think it’s bullshit. In fact, I will either ignore or think twice about responding because I think errors like that show a lack of attention to detail.
Data can be manipulated and I think that’s what this is.
End of line.

Yes!  If they can't be bothered to proofread an email, what else are they letting slide?

1) I hate email "cadences" or "sequences" - that's not selling, you might as well be a marketer.   2) I also hate the idea of trying to mirror humanity with automation.

I deliver high qualify ACTUAL typos and ACTUAL bad grammar to my team and prospects regularly  ---- This is the way.

I hate doing it and honestly I'm sure most of the prospects know these actions are automated.

If you send me something like this I will forever think you are an idiot and will tell everyone I know that you are said idiot.

I've heard this too, supposed to make you seem more relatable and (gasp) human.

My rule is from a desktop it should be error-free but not to the point you are reading it 100 times and stressing over UK vs. US spelling.

Mobile is different, everyone ducks up once in a while on their phones.

I am not a fan of the miss spelling because I think it makes you look dumb but I do like to leave a voicemail that has imperfections as I think it can humanize you.

@SalesSage What imperfections do you leave in voicemails?

I will clear my throat, or miss say a word and correct myself, things that make it seem like that can be the only version of that voicemail this person has received and that I am human, not just on automatic with calls and vmails getting dropped.

Whatever you do, walk in with BDE. You can get anything that way.

My manager appreciated the due-diligence and loves that I took initiative to ask for this. While I did ask for quite a large sum, I am confident that they will come back with something reasonable.
