Retail saas

a buddy of mine is working on an aap to help retail org's save money with customers and workers. any retail sales reps here who are willing to talk to him about pain points most retailers are facing and would want a saas platform to help with?

There are many different parts in retail business and every aspect could have a pain point that many different companies are solving. It can be inventory, work force management, delivery, invoicing etc. It also depends upon the Geography. Does your friend know what problem is he trying to solve or is he learning about the challenges to come up with a solution?

He is considering the problem of long line ups in stores and how to save costs of people getting fed up and leaving. Something like a self-checkout on the mobile phone.
