Working for global SaaS company and blindsided with a number of new platforms, decks, and demos rolled out.. what is your best plan of attack?

yeah I know. crazy but series B startup so what can you do. I started creating a talk track as general as possible for our top shelf offering to hopefully sell down if needed to start. received login info to the demo instances today and have 3 meetings set with enterprise prospects today.. wtf would you do?

if it was me, i would roll with the old stuff for a few days.

there is ZERO point in diving into a new deck or demo that you are not confident in.

If you are not confident in what you are doing, your prospect wont be confident in your product.

You need time to digest the new stuff, ask questions on it and really know what you are doing. Maybe is just a day but i would not be running that new shit in front of key prospects yet.

That’s what I was thinking but wondering if anyones elses companies do this without notice and they have a process rather than cleaning up the mess of what was thrown at them lol

Just do what you have always done until you are very confident in the new approach.

Also, who created the new stuff?

Great question. Software developers and engineers. CEO. I’m sure someone from branding also

So no one that actually sells? Why would you listen to them in the first place?

I rather update and make minor changes than build everything from scratch myself. I don’t really have the time to create everything from scratch. It’s a series B company so many of the people have sold and are now in are in more senior roles. Believe me when stuff comes from the non sales side I just smile and nod.

Keep selling the old stuff while you pour yourself into learning the new stuff until you can demo it with confidence.

Just do you until you're comfortable with the new stuff, but don't take too long doing so.

Go with what you've got. They can smell lack of confidence and fear.

What a shit show. Just told them new platforms and no decks let’s have a conversation and talk through it all. What a waste of time

know it ain't your job but sales would make 10X better decks than marketing. Maybe make 1?
