Call Recording Feedback

I have been a team lead for a number of years and one of my favorite/most beneficial team trainings is to listen to eachothers call recordings and get feedback.

Throughout the quarter we each write down a few "good" calls and a few "bad" calls. Then we all get together and listen to a couple from each category and give eachother feedback. What could I have done better? Could I have overcome that objection? Did I drive for 3 "nos" etc.

Does anyone eles do this?

Do you listen to your call recordings as a team?

That is actually really interesting. I would love to hear my co-workers feedback on my negotiations, demos, etc.ย

Many people think when they buy a tool that has some sort of call recording it will lead to a utopia of p2p or self coaching. Sadly, unless its driven by execs its seldom followed up on.ย

I also find that it's received better when it's coming from teammates and not management.ย  Also, when it's interactive, not just management pulling random calls and then just critiquing them.ย ย

I couldn't agree more. A product like Gong or Chorus should be something every organization invests in. It helps with ramping, when a new product is released it gives the ability to learn from others, marketing uses it to tweak their messaging based on what they hear in calls. I think it's maybe the most important tool a sales team can have.

This is extremely helpful. Iโ€™ve seen some folks listen and coach each other on different themes of calls each week. Like, calls where competitors were happened, calls with competitor mentions + no next steps set up and so on.ย
