Just remember, first impressions are lasting. Be yourself! You're there to learn and start killing it.

Some great advice in the academy to start your role in sales.

I highly recommend getting a clear 7 day-30-60-90 for goals to strive for.

Knock out all that BS training in compliance as soon as you can too

Meet people! Your first week will feel like a lot, but over time itโ€™ll be good to have friends to learn from. Eventually get some meetings with top SDRs to find efficiency hacks, and then a few friendly AEs to learn what the best SDRs do

Listen and take notes.

Ask questions. Good ones, not dumb ones.

Meet people and remember who they are and what they do.

Find the top reps and follow them around.

Set clear expectations with your boss about performance.

Absorb all you can, make sure you're set up to shadow the successful SDRs.

Check out the academy tab here.

Also search here - there are several threads about getting started and tips and tricks that should be very helpful.

Best of luck!

Network within the company, try to learn about the product, process, customer behaviour that can make your job easy when you are ready to dial.

Ask questions. To leadership, to top performers, cross-functionally. This is the best way for you to learn your products as well as learn how to pitch them

repetition. The only way to get good at calling/emailing is to do it. a lot. Don't just do the minimum and expect to build your confidence on the phones. I always tell people 100 dials per day at a bare minimum (unless you're using something like Koncert in which case 250+ is a cake walk), until you're able to hold a solid conversation about your product.

Being an SDR is a grind. How hard you work directly correlates with how much effort you put into making dials and sending emails. But also remember its a stepping stone. Your number 1 job as an SDR is to put yourself into a position to get promoted to AE. Everything else is secondary.

Be open to coaching, can't stress this enough. In my experience those who are skeptical to coaching dont last long. Even if it seems like an uncomfortable strategy or script. DO IT you'll be ok and better off for it!!

Get your reps in and shadow top performers. SDR tactics are always evolving so try your best to keep up with what other successful SDRs are doing. Good luck!

If the organization is any good, they will not have you only calling away. You'll have more success with a combination of calling, marketing approved emails, personal emails you can craft and re-use, video, etc. Also, always remember that they don't care about your product. Listen and focus on how you can solve a problem for them.

Try anything and everything. The minute you learn that quick objections and no's are just a playground to test new tactics, magic happens.

Drink lots of water, Gatorade, and walk while making calls. Get a really good headset, be on your feet while calling. It helps.
