How do I know when it is time to look elsewhere.

So the last time I posted I was talking about how sucky my commission plan is well it has not gotten any better sadly. After doing everything they have asked of me and then some I am looking at a 250 commission check. This is also the case for most on my team besides one guy. I asked what he is doing different and he said idk. It also seems like management is not going to change things anytime soon.

So when do I know when to start looking at other positions? should I wait it out and see if they adjust the plan? I really love this company and they seem to value me as an employee like the COO shouting me out to the whole company for bringing in another big client but they don't seem to value me monetarily. My other issue is that I don't have a lot of experience only about 2 years total and 1 year in a closing role. Any advice is greatly welcomed.

They're just smile fucking you. You're in sales, the only way to show you their appreciation is monetarily. They've told you how much they appreciate you with that sad commission check.

Also, you know when it's time to leave when you consider eating a bowl of broken glass so you don't have to come in to work that day.

My CEO said it once and now I jump at the chance to use it. Tickles my heart.

Also, that emoji encapsulates "smile fucking" perfectly. Well done.

If you're asking yourself if it's time or not, then its time.

Take interviews, fill out apps, etc.

Just because you talk to a recruiter doesn't mean you have to jump ship. It just means you now have options.

If you’re posting and asking for the right time, you know deep down that now is the right time.

$250 comission check as an AE? What is your deal size?

Looked back at your previous thread. You have a horrendous comp plan. Unless they're planning to change that it's time to start looking elsewhere.

Don't be fooled: Your company doesn't value you enough to pay your a fair comission.

Shoutouts don't pay the bills.

With everybody else, glad you are at least enjoying your work, but if I was you, I wouldn't be patient anymore waiting for them to adjust the comp plan.  Time to start looking.    At least you can stay employed while you apply and interview.

Yeah that is a good point. My fear is that they would let someone go to help boost the leads for the other remaining AE’s

If you're already looking for another job, you won't need to fear this.   Get those resumes out there and don't worry.

I mean, at this rate, losing a rep means what, a $300 check instead of $250?

Yeah idk it might be a bit more than that but still not much and you are right if I am doing that no need to worry.

I am never not looking. Always keep your resume ready.

But I think the fact that you’re even asking mean you are ready to move on.

I think you know... It's time.

$250? A shoutout won't keep your lights on or help you build your future.

Take care of yourself.

Like others are saying on here, I think now might be a good time. Also, that’s a shitty teammate to say “idk” when you go out of your way to ask for tips

The fact that you are asking this question means you want an out 50%.
The remaining 50% - If you have to drag your ass every single day to your laptop / office: You want an out !
