Hi sales people, I'm a marketer!

I joined Bravado to learn more about the pain points account managers and sales teams experience and how I can help as a marketer. My job is to make your job easier by providing the tools you need to prospect and close, but I'm also here to add perceived value to our brand and products to increase overall profits. Nice to meet you all!

D&I in Book Recs

It's easy to talk about diversity & inclusion at the highest levels of sales, but it's important to practice it at every level - right from learning about sales.

As a female student interested in sales, I did a quick Google search of 'top sales books', which yields numerous titles - all by men. What are some books/media you've discovered written by female/mi...

This question would be looking for ownership and ability to problem solve. Own when you haven’t met your goals. Know why you missed, and what you did to correct it. If a salesperson said they’ve NEVER missed a goal, the BS alarms would be ringing.

Prospecting tips before the holiday?

Are you calling and leaving voicemails as bread crumbs for next week? What's your holiday CTA? Is email a dead-end with all the OOO messages?

I'd love to hear any process or methodology you use on the days before a holiday break... July always seems like the shortest month of the year, and I'm sure we all want to be set up for success once everyone is back.

How to get more money upfront?

Hi everyone!

After being an SDR for around year and a half, I decided to move to a small marketing agency, where I am responsible for the whole sales function.

Things aren't going bad but there is lot of stuff that I need to get better at. One of them is getting clients to really commit to work with us for the long term.

Have you got any advice for this?

For long-term selling that I do for 3-months and 6-months contract with 'no-stopping and getting-out clause' is, that I always relay why I need them to be with us for 3 months. In our case, its to figure out a process for their pre-sales. But in your case, it might be to understand the client's brand voice or their audience.

Toughest part of your job

What is the toughest part of your job as a sales professional?

Mine, is walking the ever-so-slim line between the art of sales and the science based on KPI's and stats.

You're welcome. I do my best to listen, empathize, try not to cry too, and sometimes a person just needs a hug... file claims fast so they receive benefits ASAP... check on them after a while

Diversity adds 19% to your bottom line!

This week I interviewed Damani Corbin (Enterprise Sales Manager at Weaveworks, a GV and Accel backed start-up, and VP of the non-profit organisation Blacks on Wall St), and let me tell you, working with Damani has been truly enlightening.

If you are looking for practical advice on the first steps to creating a sustainable diversity initiative, take a look an...

Ready to take the leap

Hello Bravado community,

How can you help me?

I am a multilingual marketing and business development professional with 10 years of international experience (the first four in Italy, the last six in Phoenix, AZ, where I am based now). I'm currently a senior account manager in a digital marketing agency. I've been working for the past 6 years in PR, marketing a...
