Do you speak to anyone else the way you speak to yourself?
Most of us go out of our way to be kind to others, but are downright toxic when we speak to ourselves.
And you know what?
You don't deserve that shit.
You deserve love, and kindness, and support, and encouragement.
I realized recently that especially during the stress of this pandemic I was falling back into old habits of being mean...to me.
But I've caught myself.
And I didn't get angry. I got compassionate.
I gave myself a big virtual hug, reminded myself that things are hard now and that we'll get through it.
And recommitted to self love and self appreciation.
If you've fallen into that age old trap, step away from the computer.
Go look at the mirror and say, out loud and with confidence.
"I am a happy, confident person and I love myself."
And then say it again and again and again.
I promise you'll feel better...about pretty much everything.
